Internal Tooth Shaft Springgrip™ Retainers

Internal tooth retainers slip easily over unthreaded shafts, rods and studs.The internal
teeth flex as the retainer is pushed on, engaging the full circumference of the shaft, and setting up a strut action that strongly resists any back-off force. Slightly longer pilot teeth on the standard style are present on all but the smallest diameter parts,and are positioned to guide and center the retainer as it is pushed on the shaft.

The internal projections,or teeth,on these retainers are slightly longer and a little more dished than those on our conventional retainers. As a result,the bearing is securely nested, but is free to rotate.

Wide Rim Shaft Retainers

Using our progressive die stamping expertise,we are adding this line of popular style stamped pushon retainers. These stamped nuts eliminate costly threading, groove notching,crossthreading and are assembled easily. Designed for unthreaded studs in a variety of materials,these push0on shaft retainers provide a pull-off force typically 10 to 20 times greater than the force needed to push-on and seat them. Typical stud materials are steel, nylon or plastics,zinc die-cast,and brass. Assembly is completed with a standard nutsetter, magnetic if desired, or a custom designed tool. Used in a variety of applications and industries including toys,lawn and garden automotive (interiors and exteriors), motors and hand tools.

Stud sizes available are 1/8" through 1/2" in phos & oil or zinc plating.

Push-On Bolt Retainers

To compliment our existing selection of retainers we have expanded our line to include these fasteners, proven to be favorable in a variety of assemblies. Bolt Retainers are used in temporary or permanent assembly applications to retain screws or bolts in place prior to final assembly of a female thread (nut). Retainers are pushed onto a screw or bolt and are retained in place tightly, designed to resist loosening before a nut is positioned and tightened.

Retainers may be assembled with a standard socket nutsetter, magnetic if desired,or a custom tool may be designed. When in place and assembly completed,the retainer flattens and actually acts as a lockwasher.

Bolt sizes available are #6 through 1/2" and metric M4 through M14 in phos & oil or zinc plating.

External Tooth Retainers

External tooth retainers function as spacers or retaining collars when inserted into
recesses or tubular parts. The external teeth flex, engaging the full circumference of the recess wall to resist any pull-out forces. Ideal for retaining knob inlays or other inserts.

Solid I.D./O.D. Retainers

These slightly dished,smooth I.D. retainers provide full 360° contact with shafts,studs or other round projections. They do not work off or collapse under shock or vibration. their low profile and small O.D. make them ideal for restricted areas.
