At the point of assembly, the two pieces are snapped apart and the bi-directional, easily gripped nut component is quickly ratcheted or turned down on the mating screw component. It realigns on the threads with a simple quarter turn and is removable and reusable just as any other screw and nut assembly.

Developed by ITW Fastex, this strong, crystal clear, UV stabilized polycarbine fastener is both aesthetically and environmentally compatible.

It will not discolor and works well in a wide variety of applications and environments. The screw component fits a 3/16" diameter hole and is currently available in 1" or 3/4" lengths.
